If you like poor conditions, broken equipment that stays broken for months and 10 people for every 1 machine then this is the place for you. Forgot your headphones? No problem, they have a regular DJ that plays music so loud your headphones are rendered useless anyways. Need to poop? Not necessary as someone’s likely pooped the day before and it’s still sitting in the toilet as the don’t get cleaned daily. I wouldn’t normally be so harsh but there’s literally stuff that’s broken with a sign on it going on an entire year. Additionally it is comically crowded during busy times which I guess is no one’s fault - however if they had adequate and working equipment people wouldn’t be waiting. The people working here aren’t so great either, when I signed up they said if I referred people I would get a guest pass for each one and that they would not disclose to the people I listed that I was the one. I figured it would be funny for my friends and I would tell them later on - however the person who signed me up called them all and said “Dom signed you up for a gym membership”. Worst experience was I hurt my back pretty bad here 8 months ago squatting and literally crawled out because I couldn’t walk - the people at the front desk just stared at me and didn’t say a word. 3 months later I was back on a bike and the seat collapsed while I was riding and when I went to tell the front desk I now got hurt again in here - they kind of laughed it off and said they would get right on it. The place is pretty terrible. I am the idiot for going back for so long it’s just very close. The one in Lake Grove is 10/10, like night and day difference from here. I drive the extra 15 minutes for it now.

The facilities at LA Fitness were quite good. However, upon arriving at the front desk on a Saturday around 2 pm, we were disappointed with the poor customer service. The staff did not even acknowledge our presence or greet us with a simple hello. This lack of attention and poor customer service was quite surprising and disappointing, especially when compared to the level of service provided by other LA Fitness locations. It seems that there is a lack of proper management supervision in place.

Save your money. Less than 50% of cardio equipment is operational as no routine or preventative maintenance is done(long term issue, I have noticed individual machines down for 6-12 months plus). Rest of the equipment throughout the gym is in disarray too. Management did take whatever repair or maintenance budget they had and used it to paint the basketball court though, lipstick on a pig. Not sure if corporate or local leadership makes the maintenance decisions, but whoever it is should be replaced by someone that recognizes one of the basic necessities of a gym is fully operational safe equipment. Quite honestly I would be embarrassed if I managed this location or worked here

The staff is great, let me start off with that, that's the only reason for any stars. So much of the equipment is broken and unusable, I don't mean for a short period of time; its months before anything is taken care of, if at all. The sauna is always disgusting, half the time there isn't any toilet paper in the bathroom stall (literally to the point where I've called the front desk, while sitting on the toilet bowl). Nothing is ever in its place, dumbbells are all over the place, constantly. Most of the cable attachments have no identical match, so I constantly have to turn into Maguyver to get a good cable workout in. I can keep going. Place is pretty weak. Staff is great.

This la fitness is amazing. The smoothie section staff are always friendly. The front desk staff is great. I would say normally the weight section is cleaned up fairly well despite the traffic in the evenings. The morningggggss amazing there is little traffic and I can get to any machine or weight section without any problem. The pool and hot tub is newly done as told by the GM 😊 so that's a plus. But I love the sauna

If I could give zero stars I would I canceled my membership and my card and was still charged they promised me a refund back in November and still haven’t received one I keep being told the manager isn’t there and to call back another day multiple times it’s extremely frustrating when about $300 of my money isn’t being given back. Don’t come here if you want your money taken from you after you canceled and to never get it back.
